The Gold Coast institute has five campuses and enrols around 17,000 students each year.

Studying in Queensland

At TAFE Queensland’s regional campuses you will experience a friendly, relaxed, cosmopolitan, outdoor lifestyle near some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. From theme parks to beaches, surfing to hiking, dining out to barbecues in the park, shopping and day spas, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts have everything you can imagine.

Less than 30 minutes from the stunning Gold Coast beaches lies Australia’s largest expanse of sub-tropical World Heritage listed rainforest, bordered by rural farmland and bush where travellers can encounter Australia’s unique native wildlife and experience a taste of country life.

With summer temperatures ranging from 20-35 degrees and winter temperatures averaging around 10-25 degrees, TAFE Queensland’s regional campuses offer the perfect study and work/life balance. At night there are countless restaurants, cafes and bars open late into the night where everyone enjoys a diverse mix of local and international fun, music, food and entertainment.

Career and university pathways

TAFE Queensland’s regional campuses offer courses that can lead to advanced entry into universities and a range of specialist qualifications for a variety of professions and trades. They provide cutting edge training, in line with industry-based requirements, preparing students for the workforce.

The Gold Coast campus has articulation agreements with Bond University, Griffith University, the University of Southern Queensland, CQ University, Southern Cross University, and Queensland University of Technology.

You will gain practical, real-world experience in simulated workplaces such as kitchens, health clinics, gyms, hairdressing and beauty salons, design studios and workshops. TAFE Queensland works closely with industry to make sure that you are exposed to the latest workplace technologies. All courses

 close conjunction with industry
 experts to ensure students are successfully placed into the
 workplace.

 courses are available in aged care; automotive electrical technology; engineering; beauty therapy; commercial cookery; fitness; hairdressing; marine craft construction; travel and tourism; building design; business and commerce; information technology; nursing; software development; graphic and interior design; heavy vehicle mechanical technology; adult tertiary preparation; and early childhood education and care.

Student Support

The International Student Centre can help you to settle into any one of the regional campuses and will assist you throughout your studies with TAFE Queensland. Our staff will ensure you enjoy a smooth transition to your new study home with all the necessary support networks. The Study Centre team will assist you in with visas, signing contracts, banking, accommodation, health insurance, shopping, purchasing a car and re-settlement. Our welcoming staff can also assist in referring you to people who can help with family support, child care, employment, disability services, cultural and recreation activities and transport.
