Established in 2004, Silver Trowel Trade Training (STTT) provides high quality, nationally accredited and internationally recognised training for the construction industry. As a fully Western Australian owned and operated private training organisation and with company directors who have building industry and educational backgrounds, we believe there are no shortcuts to quality education and training. The integrity of our training is paramount to each member of the management and staff of STTT. Our lecturers are passionate about their delivery and about our students.

We currently have over 200 international students enrolled, from more than 32 countries around the world. STTT is also contracted to the West Australian State Government to deliver training to local Australian apprentices.

Our Reputation

We are well supported by industry and have been awarded the highest rating of three gold stars by the Australian Institute of Trade Skills Excellence. We were also winners of the 2012 and 2009 WA Industry and Export Awards for Education and Training and the 2008 and 2010 WA Industry and Export Awards for Emerging Exporters of International Education as well as the 2010 Australian Ethnic Business Awards.

Campus & Facilities

Our Campus is situated in Cannington, Western Australia, about ten kilometres from Perth city centre. Our campus comprises 11 workshops (over 4,000sq m in total) along with air-conditioned classrooms with fully integrated IT and audio-visual systems, student lunch areas and an on-site cafe. Our training centre is equipped with the best tools and equipment; ensuring students have access to up-to-date e-learning capabilities. The campus is easily accessible by public transport and has parking for up to 200 cars.

We deliver Certificate III qualifications in Bricklaying, Carpentry, Wall and Floor Tiling and Solid Plastering along with Certificate IV and Diploma level Business Management qualifications.

  • We have a dedicated student services team to assist new students with a wide range of transitional issues; including finding accommodation and settling into their new community.
  • We have dedicated field officers who assist our students to find paid work placements during their studies.
