TAFE Queensland East Coast is made up of seven campuses, spanning Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay region, and has an annual enrolment of around 20,000 students.

One of Australia’s most awarded training providers, TAFE Queensland is government owned and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provides vocational education and training to local and international students.

Studying in Queensland

At TAFE Queensland’s regional campuses you will experience a friendly, relaxed, cosmopolitan, outdoor lifestyle near some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. From theme parks to beaches, surfing to hiking, dining out to barbecues in the park, shopping and day spas, the Sunshine Coast has everything you can imagine.

Just a 20-30 minute drive from Noosa Heads on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is the lush Noosa Hinterland, a patchwork of tranquil lakes, forests and striking volcanic formations dotted by friendly country towns. Further north, and part of TAFE Queensland’s East Coast region of providers, is the Bundaberg campus, ideally positioned at the gateway to the world’s largest living marine formation, the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

With summer temperatures ranging from 20-35 degrees and winter temperatures averaging around 10-25 degrees, TAFE Queensland’s regional campuses offer the perfect study and work/life balance. At night there are countless restaurants, cafes and bars open late into the night where everyone enjoys a diverse mix of local and international fun, music, food and entertainment.

Career and university pathways

TAFE Queensland’s regional campuses offer courses that can lead to advanced entry into universities and a range of specialist qualifications for a variety of professions and trades. They provide cutting edge training, in line with industry-based requirements, preparing students for the workforce.

East Coast campus students can benefit from articulation agreements with the University of the Sunshine Coast, the University of Southern Queensland and CQ University.

You will gain practical, real-world experience in simulated workplaces such as kitchens, health clinics, gyms, hairdressing and beauty salons, design studios and workshops. TAFE Queensland works closely with industry to make sure that you are exposed to the latest workplace technologies. All courses 
are designed and developed in
close conjunction with industry
 experts to ensure students are successfully placed into the
 workplace.

Student Support

The International Student Centre can help you to settle into any one of the regional campuses and will assist you throughout your studies with TAFE Queensland. Our staff will ensure you enjoy a smooth transition to your new study home with all the necessary support networks. The Study Centre team will assist you in with visas, signing contracts, banking, accommodation, health insurance, shopping, purchasing a car and re-settlement. Our welcoming staff can also assist in referring you to people who can help with family support, child care, employment, disability services, cultural and recreation activities and transport.
